Dave -

Now that I am fully awake I can see in your second photo that although this
looks like a TR4 the rear seat treatment is quite different from mine.  For
one thing there is a bottom cushion but more importantly the top bows fold
down in front of the rear upholstery.  On mine that rear upholstery
detaches at the bottom, folds back over the boot, then the sticks get
folded back and the upholstery covers them when folded back down.

Also, when the sticks are stowed that 'knee' in the front should be
pointing straight up.

You may simply have a non-standard interior and you will have to figure out
what looks best.
