I use solvent in my 5 gallon parts washer at home. I get it at Tractor Supp=
ly in 5 gallon containers:

I keep the container and when the solvent gets too dirty, I drain it into t=
he container and make an appointment with my city's hazardous waste disposa=
l where they take it for free. I use them for my old brake fluid and antifr=
eeze as well. Oil goes to the local AutoZone or Napa.

moment of idle curiosity here.  am taking parts to the machine shop and won=
dering what exactly is the bath they clean greasey parts.

is it a solvent and if so, how do they disposeof so much of it
