 The TR4A square motor mounts are the 'fail-safe' style so when rubber give=
s way at least the motor is a little more locked into frame (versus round s=
tyle).. in any case I would not hesitate to add shims (big round or square =
washers) to get good fan extension clearance to steering rack.
Also, some 60's Volvos use slightly more robust round mounts..Regards,Carl=

I have been using round mounts in my TR4A for years, but they're from some =
year BMW.=C2=A0=20

Taller and bigger in diameter, if I recall correctly.=C2=A0 Seem to hold up=
 well.

Maybe someone on the list will know what BMW they are from.
