Just a quick reply to you Larry =E2=80=93 and my sincere thanks to =
several others who have contacted off-list with their many kind words =
which mean such a lot. I thank you all for your generous compliments but =
it=E2=80=99s long past due time to revert to the purpose of the list. =
This, of course, is to review what fluif to use, oil grade in dashpots, =
sticking clutches and the many other issues affecting the products of =
the post war Standard Motor Company which only officially ever became =
Triumph in isolation and at the very end of its life=F0=9F=98=8A

Thank you, Bill. It=E2=80=99s been a pleasure for me to read all the =
posts down the years, even though my contributions these days are few =
and probably not at all helpful. It seems =E2=80=98the list=E2=80=99 =
these days is a mere shadow of its former self but then so many =
contributors have died, sold their cars and/or migrated to other forums. =
I=E2=80=99m a member of two of those others which frankly I find rather =
boring and over-segmented into different model groups whose =
adherents/supporters don=E2=80=99t want to cross-polinate on model =
preferences.
Anyway, keep the posts coming please, everyone. They=E2=80=99re still a =
source of great pleasure to an =E2=80=98oldie=E2=80=99 and a very =
pleasant reminder of happier days in a less troubled world.
