If they are the same as the 2500M's hinges and have just gotten loose from
wear...... many folks have drilled out the hinge pin hole to a slightly
larger size and replaced the original hinge pin with larger diameter stock.
If you want to get fancy, you can drill them out even larger and use a bronze
bush with a new appropriately sized pin. It may be worth a try. A decent
drill press should work but if you've got a machine shop handy, they can be
certain of getting your holes straight. If not your local hardware store, a
local bearing distributor with a retail desk like Bearings Inc. should have
the bush stock available.
