I just asked this question myself recently.  I'm putting a Weber carb on my
B.  Yes, it can be done.  All that it entails is changing the springs.  You
can either guess at it yourself, of find a shop that has the proper
equipment to recurve it.  It also may be possible to just unhook the vacuum
advance, and leave the centrifugal as-is.  It probably won't be perfect,
but it should run.
