There has to be a certain amount of common sense when it comes to things like
this. How pure do we have to be before we aren't having any fun? Maybe we
should carbon date tires so no one has an edge with new rubber.
I hate it when some guys take the generator or alternator off completely. It
seems to me that we are better of with an incorrect unit than none at all.
Besides that, the SCCA GCR started allowing generators to be replaced by
alternators in 1965.
