Tires

Hope someone can advise me regarding tires.

I race a 64 Ginetta G4 with T/Cengine in Japan have been racing on Avon
ACB10 tires. I would like to hear what tires are  used in America, and
which one is "fast". The regulation is very loose in Japan, we cannot
use slicks, but it seems as everything else goes.

The Cars weight is 1100 pound, the rear suspension is solid axle, but
the front is independent and fully adjustable. The wheel size is 13x7
inch.
