Mark's dead right about the Dodge Dart.

Daimler named their sports model the SP 250 Dart. When it was launched
however Dodge, who had registered the trademark Dart, forbade them to use
it.

With a V8 in a light body the car could move - I remember well as I was
tagged on  a trip to the snow one time in an MGB by an unmarked police
patrol in an
SP 250.
