When I bought the Bourgeault Formula Junior, it was still fitted with
belts made by the Rupert Parachute Manufacturing Company. They were
the first items to be removed from the car and placed into the
"archives" ;=) The previous owner had campaigned the car this way into
the 1980's.

I was sent a scan of a photo from the car's very first test session.
Bourgeault was driving the car around with a 5 gallon gas can bungeed
to the top of the cockpit (sans body shell). When finished, the Aluminum
gas tank was bungeed to the top of the frame under the completed body
shell. That tank is still in the car. It sits just above my knees, held
in a bit better than it was originally. My fire bottle has a nozzle
above my feet.
