As part of the Winter tear down and frame inspection of a Lotus 7 America,
I've got a couple of little prep things I haven't resolved properly in the
past.

First, what's your favorite frame paint? I'm looking for something that's
durable, chip resistant and not damaged by degreasers and pressure washing.
I'd also like a paint system that can be both sprayed and brushed on (since
I'm not removing the outer skin of the 7, I may want to use a brush or
applicator to get into tight crevises between the frame and skin).

Second: what's an appropriate material and attachment system for padding at
the joint of aluminum/fibreglass or aluminum/aluminum removeable panels. I've
used closed cell foam insulation with adhesive backing, but it doesn't stay
stuck down and wanders; also, it seems to be too springy be appropriate.

Thanks,

Myles Winbigler
