How much of the car is 30+ years old? Or, more accurately, how much of
the technology and specification of the car is 30+ year old?
It's not the fiberglass panel here and there that really upsets the
apple cart. If the car meets legal weight, the suspension is not wildly
re-engineered, the motor, gearbox, brakes and tires are same or similar to
what was allowed 30+ years ago, then it can probably run with several
vintage groups. It should also look like a vintage car. If the fiberglass
panels include huge ugly flares then it is an eyesore (to vintage eyes) that
no one will want.
