Hi, folks. My turn to ASK the question. CD4300L stopped by the house a 
few minutes ago with a very noisy-sounding alternator. Those of you near 
and dear to the TR250 might recall that this is a 15AC alternator, the 
one with the separate regulator. BTW, the one on this car is the 
original, judging by the April 1968 date code on the alternator.

Are these serviceable without great difficulty? The electrical output 
seems fine, but the noise output would indicate a rapidly failing bearing 
or bushing. Is this something a local electrical shop could repair/overhaul?
