The gent who I'm helping get his '73 TR6 back on the road needs rear
tailight base assemblies (the metal fixtures) and possibly a few new lenses.
The
chrome is very badly pitted and one assembly is cracked. Two of the
reflectors
are cracked. We may be able to save a few of the plastic lenses through some
careful washing/polishing.
I'm exploring options for him. He's doing a nice driver quality restoration
so concours quality tailights aren't a hard requirement but they should look
decent. The Roadster Factory is asking $899 for a complete, ready to attach
pair of new tailight assemblies so I'm considering that option as the high
mark; we need to find options that go down in price from there!!
Has anyone found a more reasonably priced source for the tailight base
assemblies or perhaps someone has a "decent" pair they like to sell "off Ebay"?
