Ideally on a platform truck but could be a trailer. An alternative that Terry Sanders and I have toyed with is us taking it down ourselves and looking for someone wishing to deliver a similar size car north. MG is the marque of choice of course! If you're interested let either of us know. This would be a January event. They are located in Oklahoma & have a network of haulers that they contact within the area that you are interested in pick up & delivery. Both open and closed trailers. If it is not an immediate requirement they can get you a hauler at a much better price than others. They look for haulers with open space & they bid on the haul. Don't think you can beat their price if you don't need immediate pick up. Have never had a problem with their service. My recommendation for both [inorder] stands for you situation also !! I do know there ARE other GOOD firms that runs ads in Hemmings also. I have also read TRUE HORROR stories on small thru OPEN carriers !!! Make POSITIVE you are dealing with ONE Company and NOT [under ANY circumstances] a Broker !!! Ed Please visit MY site at: www.justbrits.com ***************************************************** <> V****, since we are talking INTER-NATIONAL my 1st [and strongest] suggestion would be Intercity. They run ads in Hemmings, Healey Marque IIRC and Austin- Healey magazines !! And I do know of a good number of Big Healey folks that have used them and ARE very happy. You CAN use the autox archive link to look up comments on the Big Healey List Archive using the link at bottom of every Spridgets at AutoX.Team.Net to accesses the Big Healey Archives. My second pick would be Federal express [WAS Passport Transportation and that Owner was a BIG TIME LBCer]. My only draw-back to them is that it IS well known that their "brokerage" fees CAN be damned steep - on a car I just do NOT have any clue. The "international" part is what he REALLY MUST pay [NOT an intended pun] attention to. HTHS & Good Luck !! Would you race a TD with no roll bar, with your two kids in back, while your little daughter poured coffee for you out of a thermos? There's more! How about a TD out-accelerating an XK120? It has a spridget pumpkin in a TC housing, and wire wheels. The right axle came right out and is finished. The left axle comes out about 1" and will not come out any farther. Its an old style TC axle that is a taper fit with keyway to the outer hub. What could possibly be holding it in? Even if the splines are twisted a bit, this sucker should have come out by now. No way to pull the diff carrier till this bugger lets go. Any thoughts besides a giant slide hammer? Thanks, Glen By the way, the A35 saloon is now living in a covered garage in Sacramento and will be dolled up for "Hot August Nights" this next year in Reno. Original hubs and axles are splined. That is irrelevant for the problem at hand. Usual method to pull a TC axle is to remove the wheel, undo the nuts holding the hub to the bearing carrier, replace the knockoff then hammer on the back side of the knockoff ears to remove the axle.
