Are we on the same page? The way I read it, it was a resistance
measurement from the coil positive wire to the white or white/brown wire
on the fuse box, with the ignition switch turned on, in order to find
out if there was a ballast wire in the coil harness. I wouldn't attach
my ohmmeter to a hot circuit.

My mistake, I was thinking of the coil measurement.

But you still don't need to disconnect the battery to measure the =
ballast resistance, in fact because of the way some ignitions are wired =
that would prevent you measuring it anyway, as the battery may be needed =
to operate an ignition relay to connect the coil feed wire to 12v.

As long as the wires are removed from the coil to stop any current =
flowing you can measure resistance on a wire that is carrying 12v, for =
the same reason that birds can sit on a 400kV power line.

PaulH.

Hi All,

Does anyone know what accelerator cable is used for an early 1977 MGB
(426xx) that has had a Weber DGV conversion?

Luckily, it broke in my driveway.

Thanks,

If it's anything like the Weber conversion kit I had on my '70, the

the first link is ok, but once you start blowing it up, the quality is
pretty poor. at 11x17 its difficult to read. actually, at any size it is
difficult to read.

thank you for that second link. I had not seen it. the wiring diagram is
useful, but not the quality I am looking for. nice reference piece, though.
thanks again.

There is an adjustable stop near the top of the inner door skin that
prevents the metal channel at the base of the drop-glass going up too far.
Have you tried adjusting that?

Yes, I have the same problem on my 72B. I installed the weather seal, =
