It's been outside under tarps for many years in San Francisco. It's rusty and is missing the hood. I haven't taken a good look at it but I assume the worst. Still it should be worth something to someone. Anyone have a rough idea of value or interested in it? It would be a VSCCA eligible car. On the Left Coast while vintage orgs may have differnt rules, I would guess that it would still be in the same boat. I passed your email on to the eMog list and received the reply below: Jim, Based on the activity I've seen in the last five years or so, I would think it would be worth under $1800, assuming the worst. I wonder if it has enough usable bits to use as the basis for an economical rebuild? Perhaps someone who wants to build a vintage racer could get somewhere with it, leaving off all the non-essential (but expensive) stuff. Unfortunately, our local vintage club (CVAR) would require the original engine size and type to be used, further reducing its appeal in our area (Texas). Duncan In any event, it is too valuable to scrap as I would guess that someone would be interested. If I weere in the Bay area, I'd contact Bill Fink at Isis Imports in Bodega Bay. C & HM, Plug If the paperwork is good and it has never been written off as gravely damaged, the title is likely worth more than car. My guess is 2000-3500 depending on what someone is going to do with it. In the UK, it could be worth even more. If the rear axle and front axles can be salvaged...even better! If a buyer sources a chassis frame and crossframe from the factory ($800) (and buys a skinned body with doors hung ($4500). then they are a long way towards a new car. There are many motors and drive trains that can be put in, including an original one at not too high a cost. My guess is 20k and they have a new perfectly legal Morgan. They can also rebuild the car from other Morgans' parts and have a authentic Morgan...even cheaper. Lastly, they could bring in a virtually new car as a repair. But I don't think the Factory is ever going to do that again, regardless of the price they are paid.
