Steve -
   I had these guards on my car for a number of years - I've
since removed them 'cuz they rust up pretty quick. I bent one
of the mounting tabs completely around the outside edge of the
stone guard to make sure they did not fall off - if you finagle
them just right, the mounting tabs will fit through one of the
openings in the guard.
  Also be careful that the mounting tabs don't stick up enough
to clip the hood when you open it. This can easily scratch the
front edge of the hood.
