Something I do that a lot of people don't agree with is to NOT pull the 
top too tight on initial installation. I believe my tops are easier to 
put up after a year or two after they have shrunk a little. It is hard 
thing to get yourself to do the first time, since the top doesn't have a 
'drum tight' feel at first, and may show the folds a little for a while, 
but experience has taught me this lesson.
