[6pack] Spring spacer question

Thanks Dick, and thank you to all who responded to my spring spacer question, both on and off list. While there was no consensus as to spacer placement or even the use of spacers (or spring pads) at all, it gave me plenty to think about before I decide how to proceed.

This is rarely the case, as most of the springs we use are of sufficient length to keep this from happening. It's easy enough to check, tho.
