Good point John, I have one on my overdrive (same way in parallel) to  remind 
me to switch it off at the light.

Hi Do not wire the LED in series.  it will blow instantly.   Wire it in 
parallel to ground from the B+ lead to the motor. Use a 12Volt  one.  John H.
