    Want to make your car faster? You can't get more bang per buck on a
limited racing budget than to upgrade the driver. Now we're not Steve McQueen,
and we can only fantasize about having what he had for a racing budget. Thing
is, that guy could make almost anything go quicker.
   You can too. Salina Region's annual visit from the Evolution Performance
Driving School will offer a Phase 1 class April 12 and a Phase 2 class April
13. Right here in Salina.
    Evolution Schools are hands-on, foot-to-the-floor autocross driving
schools. No matter what type of car you drive, Evolution is for you. Evolution
instructors are national caliber drivers, with years of experience, wins, and
national championships to their credit in all different types of cars.
    Phase 1: Combined with race proven skills, concepts, and techniques, this
course will improve the performance of all drivers on the both road and the
track. No matter what type of car you drive, the Phase 1 skills will improve
your overall driving abilities.
   Phase 2: Takes the driver into new areas of mental race preparation.
Various driving exercises are conducted throughout the day to improve the
driver's visual and mental imaging of the course, resulting in quicker lap
times. Reinforces Phase 1 skills and transferring of those skills to every
autocross course you may encounter.
  The schedule for both days is:
. 7:00am Site Opens
. 7:30am Tech Opens
. 8:30am Evolution Driver Meeting/Coursewalk
. 9:00am Instructed Sessions Begin
. 12:30pm Lunch Drivers Meeting (lunch provided)
. 1:00pm Instructed Sessions Continue
. 4:30pm Wrap-up Meeting
