Another comment on the headlight problem from a BMC expert in L.A.:

Did the MGB  EVER have working headlights? Maybe his car was supplied
without that option from new.
Like it says on the Joseph Lucas parts boxes;

" A Gentleman Does Not Drive Around After Dark"

Good afternoon. I hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving.  Does anybody know
why I would have no low beam on my headlights, but when the foot switch is
depressed, the hi beams come on?  Ned to get this fixed before it will pass
