AND, as so aptly pointed out to me by our editor, Rob Foye, if you have your National Parks Senior Pass, the rangers will pass you right on through, since this area is a Federal Recreation Area!

> Sadly, it's time for the last official club drive of the year, our annual Fall Color Tour. This year we're going to go up over the Mirror Lake road.
>
> PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS ONE OF OUR FEW SUNDAY DRIVES, to give some of our members who work on Saturday a chance to join in. We are keeping October 14 for a rain date just in case. Keep an eye on the website and the BMCU email list for confirmation.
>
> We’ll meet at Hogle Zoo (end of the parking lot nearest the mouth of Emigration Canyon) at 9:00 am for a 9:30 departure through Emigration Canyon, proceeding East on I-80 we will have a secondary rendezvous at Silver Creek Junction exit 146 (after you exit go left over I-80) at a Sinclair Gas station around 10:00, leaving at 10:30.
>
> Proceeding on Highway 40 towards Heber we will turn off on SR-248 into Kamas where we'll pick up SR-150 to head up over the pass. I'm still working out lunch details, as the Mirror Lake area is a fee area (all parked vehicles must have a paid pass, year round). There are some nice picnic spots, but we would have to pay ($3 fee per car) for a day pass. This would be my preference if the group agrees (let me know) -- I always like a nice picnic.
