I've had my MINI for 9 months and 11,000 miles.

It's good for autocrossing as set up from the
factory, without any mods.
Check out SCCA H-stock results.

There was a recall for the shifter to transmission
cable link which would come undone for early built units.

I'm pretty happy.  No regrets.  (Only regret: didn't get Xeon headlamps).
