Seriously, I take it that you have a classic Mini.

I've had good luck using the Yakima brand bars on my MGB GT. As long as
there is a drip rail to sit in, and a rim to clamp onto they work really
well. I bought the shortest cross bar available, then cut it down a bit
more so people would not walk into it. I'd suggest finding a dealer and
trying the mounting bracket first to ensure you can get adequate
clamping.
