Aug meeting motel and map

Wow! Thank youall for your early exhuberant response ! Keep those cards
and letters ....ok ok , back to news .

I have attatched a map for driving instructions and noted the location of
the motels on Wenatchee Ave. #1 , #2 , #3 . Also , the start of the Sun. "
tour through the orchards to start your way home " is indicated. It`s a
winding gorgeous tour along the river , and puts you on the way back to
Seattle / Yakima .Laurie and I will guide you.

The three  motels I visited represent the lower ,middle and upper middle of
the spectrum , they  have pools and normal amenities ,the middle and upper
have  with what I would call better than average parking set up . I chose
them  for the possibility of parking right at your room door , and a
courtyard or fenced in parking lot , the cheaper one is a standard motel
type lot .

Number two on the map is Avenue Motel has the courtyard and the  rate is $65
, it is somewhat older and a mom and pop business where the owners live on
site. It`s at 720 N. Wenatchee ave. north/center of town.509-663-7161 ,

Number one on the map is Best Western Chieftain Inn has the fenced parking ,
newly refurbished , very business class type ,  we are talking a rate of $90
. It too is center/north in town , 1017 N. Wenatchee Ave..509-665-8585 , ask

Number three on the map is Economy Inn , it`s our local version of Motel 6 ,
plain and least expensive at " as low as $35 a night " .700 n. Wenatchee
Ave.  509-663-8133 , no web.


If you have your collapsable , store in the trunk ,  Healey chairs , bring 
them
along, we`ve got 34 of the patio type , but judging from the response at
ABFM  ,that may not be enough,  wouldn`t that be terriffic !!!
