Crash kills driver of import convertible
A 34-year-old man died Saturday when the small import convertible he was
driving went out of control and flipped on a winding road at the south
edge of Renton, authorities said.
The single-car crash occurred at 5:30 p.m. in the 700 block of South 55th
Street, a narrow winding road that leads from Kent's East Hill to Talbot
Road, said Capt. Kyle Ohashi, of the Kent Fire Department.
The crash also injured a passenger, who was found walking around the
crash scene, Ohashi said.
Medics took the 23-year-old man to Harborview Medical Center, a Renton
police spokeswoman said Sunday. His condition was not known.
