The 29th Portland Historic Races Annual Collector Car Show

& July AHCO Club Meeting



            Come join other AHCO members and many other car collectors at
Portland International Raceway.  It will be a weekend with races and many
beautiful historic cars.

We encourage all models of Healeys to come out and be a part of the Corral.
It is a great way to showcase the entire line of models that Healey made.

            The Collector Car Corrals will be located on the infield, the same
as last year, but this year it will be more convenient to get in and out.
There will be track crossing times every 20 minutes.  There also will be
shuttles provided to the Festival Curves Grandstands and the Goodyear Bridge.
Cars need to be in place in the Corral by 10:00 a.m. each morning.

            On Saturday and Sunday there will be the ever-popular lunchtime
Parade Lap.  Collector Car participants have the opportunity to take their
vehicle out on the racetrack.

            Autocross is back this year.  There is not an additional charge
for participating in the Autocross, however, they are asking each participant
to make a $5 donation to the Children's Cancer Association.  The request is
for a donation for each pass a participant makes.  (They received donations of
over $1200 last year.)  There will be trophies for the First, Second and Third
places based on time, along with a trophy for the fastest Club and for the
Club with the highest amount of donations.  The awards will be presented on
Sunday afternoon.

            Featured Race: Vmoto (historic, classic and vintage road racing
motorcycles) will be back this year.  This year's featured event will be a
celebration of the Shelby Mustang GT350R.

            Please fill out your form completely and SOON then mail to Paul
Adams.  The fee is $40 for a 3-day pass for the driver and a guest, 1 Car
Corral pass, a Dash Plaque and the Parade Lap.  All passes and tickets need to
be ordered in advance.  No Corral passes will be distributed on site.  The
tickets will be mailed to you.

            The July meeting of the AHCO will be held at the Austin Healey
Corral on Saturday, July 9th at 3:00 p.m.  This is a great way to spend a full
week of "Healeying". There will be a caravan leaving Portland Monday, July 11
to head to the Rendezvous 2005 in Klamath Falls.
