Well it is time again for the annual trail drive to the British Car Ranch in
Wenatchee. I have volunteered to ram-rod a drive from Monroe, across Stevens
Pass through Leavenworth and into Wenatchee. I'll be rounding up strays and
bunching the herd at the Buzz Inn Steak House in Monroe. Once the herd is
gathered we will push them over the pass. We will give them a chance to water
at the rest stop near Lake Wenatchee. We will then push them hard through
Tumwater Canyon and into Leavenworth. The herd will be hot dry and dusty but
we will make the long push into Wenatchee before we bed the herd down.
I hear there will be another part of the herd that will be gathering at
Tully's near Eastgate on I-90. Look for more information on that roundup.
We will start the drive at 9:00 am Saturday August 26th. with the idea of
finding the chuck wagon and checking our bedrolls before we move the herd on
to the ranch at 1:00 pm.
Anyone that wants to sign on to this trail drive needs to be at the trailhead
in Monroe at 9:00 am. with your broncs saddled and watered and ready for the
trail.
