Hi Paul , where are you located ? Would be great to have you join in the
clubs` fun , with any one of the cars !

I agree with Craig , many reasons and very common . In my own experience ,
the wire wheels are a leading contributor , and need trueing up......BUT ,
thats a complicated affair and somewhat expensive , not to mention pot holes
and curbs can put them right back out again . Even a new wheel out of the
box can need it .

Take heart ! There are a list of things you can do to minimize/remove that
steering wheel shake at 50-60 mph , and leave the wheel job to last , or not
at all

Thorough suspension inspection , to assess the condition of all parts
involved in tracking-steering

A quality wheel balance and rim run-out check. Dynamic type , on the car ,
or with a special adapter and on a floor spin balancer .

Check brake drum out-of-round , and balance same .

Check driveline straightness and balance .

Done in this order and one at a time , I`ve found that you progressively
smooth out the shake , and choose a point where you are happy and spend
money on something else ! ( There is always a list of things to spend money
on , right ! ? )

Feel free to e-mail me with any questions ,
