Whoops, I forgot I can't send attachments on the email list, they get
stripped out.
Here's the route info:
1. Meet at XXX in Issaquah.
2. Drive north under I-90 and turn right onto Issaquah-Fall City Road.
3. Turn right off Issaquah-Fall City Road onto Old Issaquah-Fall City Road.
4. At hwy202, turn right and drive east through Fall City.
5. After the bridge in Fall City, turn left onto hwy203 north to Carnation.
6. Follow hwy203 through Carnation and Duvall to Monroe.
7. At hwy2, turn left to drive west toward Snohomish.
8. Take first exit off hwy2 to Snohomish (east side of town). This could be
a coffee break on main street in old part of town, chance to stretch legs
and walk around.
9. Leave Snohomish on Lincoln St. to get to Old Snohomish-Monroe Road.
10. Take Snohomish-Monroe Road to Monroe where it meets hwy522, and turn
right onto onramp for hwy522 to Woodinville.
11. Exit in left turn lane at Maltby onto Paradise Lake Road. There's a
Texaco after this intersection, if anyone needs gas.
12. Take Paradise Lake Road to Woodinville-Duvall Road, and turn left toward
Duvall.
13. Take Woodinville-Duvall Road to West Snoqualmie Valley Highway
(stoplight before road crosses the valley). OPTION: On the way, turn right
onto Old Woodinville-Duvall Road, which is a fun winding road over the ridge
that meets right back up with the new Woodinville-Duvall Road on the hill
goingdown to the West Snoqualmie Valley Highway. Again, the lead just needs
to recognize it and take it, but if anyone misses it, they won't get lost.
Everyone ends up at the same intersection.
14. Turn right onto West Snoqualmie Valley Highway and take it all the way
down to where it become Ames Lake Road, which arrives at hwy202.
15. Turn right onto hwy202 and follow it west to Redmond.
16. At the intersection of hwy202 and East Lake Sammamish Parkway, turn left
and follow the parkway down the lake back to Issaquah where we started.
17. Lunch at the XXX drive in.

Subject: CAHC: Frostbite is a GO for Saturday February 3rd!
Importance: High
Let's get this touring season started! The forecast still calls for partly
cloudy, with rain not moving in until Saturday night. This may be as good as
it gets in February, so let's go!
WHERE: Meet at the Triple X Hamburger Stand in Issaquah (Front Street exit
off I-90, turn east on NE Gilman Blvd, Triple X is on the right below the
freeway).
WHEN: We'll leave at 11:00AM sharp, so try to arrive a bit earlier.
WHERE TO? A Snoqualmie Valley Tour, around two hours. Description of the
drive is attached, and I'll bring photocopies for drivers. It's basically a
loop to Fall City, Monroe, Snohomish, and back down the Snoqualmie Valley.
We'll return via Redmond and the East Lake Sammamish Parkway back to the
Triple X. Lunch at the Triple X afterward.
If you plan on going, please reply directly to me so I can have a rough
headcount to expect on Saturday.
Any questions, please don't hesitate to email or call. I'll add my cell
phone as well for contact on Saturday.
Hope to see you at the Triple X! Dress warm!
