For those who attended the VanDusen ABFM in May,
the name of the color of the original, unrestored Mk II
Sprite is "Deep Pink".  This color was only available
in 1961 and 1962.

The factory colors for Mk II Sprites were:

    Iris Blue
    Speedwell Blue
    Deep Pink
    Signal Red
    Old English White
    Highway Yellow

Nice article on oils in the Cascade magazine. Craig Anderson touched the same
subject at the Tech session at his home last March. I talked with some "Alte
Hasen" ("Old Rabbits" inGermany, "those who know their onions" in The UK and I
don4t know how they are called in the Northwest) to find out what they think.
They said, for years they haven4t touched anything but HD 4C SAE 30 and they
love it. Guess what, I am going that way on our BJ7 and Sprite Mk I on the
next oil change.

Hail All Cascaders,

I need a recommendation for someone to install my "hood", "hood boot" and
tonneau cover all of which I have in hand ready to go on the car which is
thoroughly prepared for the installation with all the right hardware in all
the right places and the frame adjusted for proper fit, etc.  All I need is
for somebody to install the front and sides of the top correctly with staples
on the vinyl covered wood trim rails and the rear of the top and the clip-in
rear window on the metal gutter drip rail with all the correct clips and seals
which I will provide.  I plan to install the seals for the top & doors
myself.

If anyone knows of a good installer experienced with these tops please let me
know asap.  I only have about 2 weeks more to prepare for Rendezvous 2007.

all the groups of people going over to Richland from the Puget Sound area on
Saturday, Sunday, and Monday so everyone can find a "pack to run with."

day, I'm going by my poor memory from the June club meeting.)

Departing Saturday

an early start on making sure Richland is ready for the arriving Healeys.

There's no shame in setting up more than one tour for Monday. We'll all get
there eventually!

There's no shame in setting up more than one tour for Monday. We'll all get
there eventually!

So let's get some chatter going and see if we can't set up a solid list of
tours that work for everyone to hitch themselves to.

 I joined the Club last year and did not make a meeting, I'll try to do 
better this year.  I just brought home the 2nd Frogeye (AN5 44494) in my 
life and I also have an Mark II (AN6 18542) under a tarp that is a

We'll have a mini-convoy heading to Richland from
Portland on Monday morning: my blue and white 100
followed by my Jeep Cherokee which will be towing the
Healey boat.  We're looking at a mid-morning
departure, after breakfast, to arrive at Richland at
midday.  We'll head east on I-84 to Hood River, then
cross the river to continue eastbound on WA 14 to that
last little bit on 395 into Richland proper.

I realize that this doesn't qualify as a group
departing from the Puget Sound area, but just wanted
to speak up for the southern branch.
