I'll be turning them into a quilt to be auctioned off at Rendezvous in July so they need to be in excellent condition. Big thanks to Neal and Lois for their garbage bag full to kick-start the collection! Message-ID: <395f0f850703281107t2b97005fh517b9f51110ae799@mail.gmail.com> At the club meeting last night, Doris asked me about what parts I carry for my BN2 on long tours. I rambled on a bit: all ignition parts including a coil, water hoses, band clamps, water pump, fuel pump, fuel filter, overdrive solenoid, all your fluids, a decent set of tools, and your manual. Jeez, I'm sure there's more but I hadn't thought about this matter for a long time (I keep everything I've accumulated in a duffel bag that I just throw in the boot every time I leave the state), so I went out looking for some online resources. Here's Jim Werner's list: http://hometown.aol.com/bgahc/jwhahlychklistintro.html What other resources do club members have for this? Let's send them along so people without as much experience touring can start the year with confidence.
