Good morning Fellow Cascaders,
I hope you're all doing well. I've heard from several of you, thank you.
Unfortunately not many have acknowledged in the affirmative - no worries we
are still going. Since South Center Mall is out of my way for a north-bound
trip I've asked Nick Horn to meet anyone interested in going from the
Starbucks location across from South Center Mall. *Please be at the
Starbucks location in time for a 6:30 AM departure*.
The group will head north on I-405 to the Brickyard Park & Ride located in
Kirkland just north of NE 132nd Street off of I-405. Phil Daniels and I
will be there along with anyone else wishing to leave from a more northerly
location. *If you wish to leave from here, plan to at the Brickyard Park &
Ride by 7:00 AM *so that we can depart shortly after Nick's group arrives.
Hopefully this offers everyone a convenient location to meet.
If you prefer to join us along the way as we head north, drop me a note with
your phone number so we can set a location and approximate time.
I've spoken with Ken Bottini from the MG Club. He tells me they are
anticipating 250 entrants for the rally. That's right 250! He suggested we
arrive early to sign-in and/or register. I've included a link to the
registration form on the MG web site: http://www.mgccnwc.com/tulip.htm . I
highly recommend you bring a filled-out registration form along with your
$15 fee if you haven't already registered.
If all goes well we should arrive at the rally check-in location around 8:30
- 8:45 AM giving everyone an opportunity to top up their fuel tanks before
the 9:30 rally start. The weather forecast for Saturday is a high in the
low 60s, sunny with a slight chance of late afternoon rain - good English
touring weather.

*Photo Contest*
Since our next monthly club meeting is next week, I thought we'd take
advantage of the rally and have a little photo contest just among our club.
So bring your digital camera. Members who show up to the club meeting next
week will vote for their favorite pictures. Small prizes going to the
winners. Here are the rules:
1. Only digital photos will be accepted - limit 2 photos per team / car.
2. Photo submissions need to be emailed to me no later than *5:00 PM
on Monday April 28*: cruz.n.usa at gmail.com
3. Photos will be displayed on my computer before and during dinner.
Voting ends when the meeting begins - so arrive early to vote.
4. Participants / winners need not be present at the meeting - but it
would be nice.
5. The Results will be tabulated during dinner by the public
accounting firm of Wee, Cheetum & Howe
6. Results will be announced at the conclusion of the meeting
7. Each photo will be put into one of the following categories:
- Healey Subject - photo shows all or part of a Healey
- SOB Subject - photo shows all or part of another British Car
- People Subject - photo contains people
- Scenery Subject - photo contains only scenery (no people & no
cars)
- All photos will compete for the President's Choice Award
So get out there and take a lot of pictures. Pick your best ones and turn
them in for a chance to win.
