Vancouver hotel- Live and learn!!

Hi all,
A note for those who haven't made hotel reservations for Vancouver....and
for anyone booking a hotel on-line!  One of the pricing options for
Holiday Inn Express is "Advance Purchase."  The rates are a little
cheaper in that catagory, BUT  you CANNOT CANCEL or not show up!!!!  You
are charged for your entire stay no matter what!  NOT a good choice for
those of us whose car is now up on jacks, and may or may not be ready to
go May 16th!  So  when making reservations, read the descriptions
carefully.  This is an option I'd only known about for airline tickets.
