top bows bn7

One of our members was by my garage today and had a top bow or his BN7.  It was different than the ones I have for either my BN6 or early BN7.  His  front rail that attaches to the windscreen and the wood bow had two straight through holes at each end rather than the counter sunk ones like I have on both of mine.  He also has two oblong plates that the screws go through before going through the straight through holes.  Can someone help us out and tell us if this were a later BN7 modification?
