From bjd97 at juno.com Sat Jul 3 16:02:12 2010 From: bjd97 at juno.com (Beckie J Daniels) Date: Sat, 3 Jul 2010 15:02:12 -0700 Subject: Rendezvous photos Message-ID: <20100703.150250.5900.569381@mailpop02.vgs.untd.com> Greetings fellow Healeyists!! Healey owners are so much fun!! We hosted Canadians Michael deWilde, Don and Karen Manning, and Brian and Carole Drab on Sunday night. Unfortunately Brian and Michael bought premium gas at the Gull station near Onalaska Sunday night...Michael's car quit immediately, while Brian's sputtered along. Both had water and crud in their tanks. GRRR!! Brian towed Michael until our BIG HILL, when our neighbors took over to get him up it and the rest of the way to our house. The guys spent 4 hours draining both gas tanks and trying to tweak carbs, plugs, etc to running order. Brian's car was better, but Michael's took several more tweakings on the way to Eugene. Monday morning we drove over to Exit 59 on I-5 where we joined up with Doug and Karen Miller, Walt and Zoe Harrison, Frank and Mary Hosick (in their BJ9), new members Larry Zessin and Evelyn Hoffman in their Sprite, and Lyman Bradley, who became our newest club member on Tuesday. We traveled down 411, across the bridge at Longview, south on 47, (lunch in Vernonia), continuing south on 99W and 99 to the Valley River Inn in Eugene. After enjoying the week we returned north with Walt and Zoe, Larry and Evelyn, Brian and Carole, Doug and Karen, and Steve and Bonnie Tate. Photos are in the usual spot on Flickr. I joined 5 others for a walk one day, so there are flower pictures....but more car pictures after them! 87 photos in all. http://www.flickr.com/photos/tesla314mom/ Brian and Carole Drab spent the night again last night before continuing back to BC. Phil has spoken to our neighbor sheriff about the water in the gas, and to the gas station owner who denied any water in HIS gas....Phil is pursuing the issue!! Now that the photos are posted, I may go take a nap!! See you On The Road!! :o) Beckie Daniels ____________________________________________________________ SHOCKING: 13" Macbook Pro for $91.72! Pacific Daylight Time Subj: [Healeys] Healey Gymkhanas on youtube List, Just wanted to let the you guys know that videos of the Gymkhana staged at the Southern California Healey Week gathering are now posted on youtube for all to enjoy. The event was held May 21, 2010 in the parking lot of a minor league baseball team just outside of Temecula, California. The venue was great and well set up by our club with hay bales protecting the cars from light posts and orange cones guiding the drivers through the course. Of course some people got lost in the excitement, but many got through very quickly and had clean runs. There are 63 individual videos posted showing the complete runs of the cars participating in the event, most lasting less than a minute, some a bit longer. To view these videos just go to: _www.youtube.com_ (http://www.youtube.com) and then in the search window type in: CHW Gymkhana 01, or 02, or 03, or 23, or 63, etc. and the video will pop up and begin to play. I didn't put everyone's name or particular car with the videos, as 63 videos is a bit much to do so, but if you see a car or person you know, just remember the number and you can send that particular video link to anyone you want. So enjoy and soon there will also be a little video posted of the Covered Bridge tour from "Healeys Take Eugene, Rendezvous 2010" Steven Kingsbury BN1 #598 _______________________________________________ Healeys at autox.team.net Donate: http://www.team.net/donate.html Suggested annual donation $12.75 Archive: http://www.team.net/archive Forums: http://www.team.net/forums Unsubscribe/Manage: http://autox.team.net/mailman/options/healeys/mkiii4me at aol.com From enginem at comcast.net Mon Jul 12 18:20:59 2010 From: enginem at comcast.net (DOUG MILLER) Date: Mon, 12 Jul 2010 17:20:59 -0700 Subject: July 17th Tour Message-ID: <4C3BB16B.20707@comcast.net> Here is the plan for the tour this Saturday July 17th. Phil has shared club info with Dale thru Jamie, and Dale autographed one of his books to Phil, inviting us to see his 1956 100M. Today Jamie gave us a personal tour of Chihuly's hot shop and Boathouse where the Healey lives. Of course I took lots of pictures! http://www.flickr.com/photos/tesla314mom/ Enjoy!
