tyres (tires would work, too).  I need some place that can mount and 
dynamically balance tires on centre lock (8 spline) 72 spoke wheels.
My tires are really OLD (12 years) and I won't do anything but putt 
around the neighborhood at very slow speeds.

Robert,

I just had new tires (I bought them myself from Universal Vintage Tire) 
mounted and balanced by Byron and he did a great job.  But, you may not need 
new tubes.  Turns out my rims took tubeless so he didn't use them. 
Universal gave me a refund but I had to pay shipping since the box was 
opened.

You will love to be able to drive hard again.

I use Tight-N-Tidy Racing for all of my tire changes. They're very small 
and operate out of their garage, but they have new high end mounting and 
balancing equipment. They also care about what they're doing. They're 
equally happy doing work on old British and Japanese cars as they are on 
Porsches and Ferraris. They serve mainly the local autocross community. 
They also don't mind changing tires at 9pm on weeknights if that's the 
only time you can get your car there. I trust them to do an excellent 
job on any kind of tire and wheel. You can even order tires from 
tirerack.com there's handy link from Tight-N-Tidy's website takes you to 
the Tire Rack, they're one of TR's preferred installers.

For Sale: 1962 BT7 MK2 Austin Healey.  This is a tri-carb 4 seater.  The
BMIHT certificate states it was built on 1/12/1962 and shipped to Los
Angeles, CA.  The CA DMV document says it was first sold in 1963.  I did a
photo documented, ground up restoration, completed in 2004.  It has 6500
miles on it since the restoration.   It is "bright British Racing Green".
This color is documented in an article written by Craig Anderson in the
Jan/Feb 2005 issue of the Cascade Club magazine.  It has a complete Heritage
Biscuit color interior.  The rear seats were replaced by a package shelf,
but I have all the parts and upholstery to convert it back.  It has cast 8
spoke Mini-Lite wheels.  Photos can be e-mailed if you are interested.  I'm

For those of you going on the tour this weekend:

We will leave SC/Westfield Mall Starbucks at 9 AM.  Bring your own picnic and
drinks for the lunch stop.

We will travel down 167-512-702 to Yelm, then 507 to Tenino and Centralia.  We
will get onto I-5 south about exit 81 and get off at exit 77.  The place we
plan to meet up with the Oregon group is at Robert E. Lintott Alexander
Park---on our left and less than one mile west on highway 6.  This will be our
picnic spot. My goal is to get our tour group to the park by 11:30 AM

Did I mention????Bring your own picnic and drinks????

Now it is on to continue the planning for the overnight to Yakima.  It is
August 27th and 28th.  I will sent out more information in the next couple of
days.

August 26th and 27th  Tour and overnight in Yakima.

 You do not have to stay overnight but if you wish to and have not made a
reservation, you have until this Wed. to get the special rate: The manager
(Connie ) has extended holding the 10 rooms for me.  $109.95 King and $119.95
2 queen beds.  If you have a problem with the reservation, call during the day
and ask for Connie.

When I talked to Connie today she said we only had 6 rooms reserved so far.  I
have 10 couples on my list sooooooo--some of you may be planning to drive home
Sat. or sleep in a field someplace.

I plan to leave SC/Westfield Mall Starbucks at 9 AM , take 167 to 410 east
through Enumclaw.  We could meet people at the east end of Enumclaw at the
park on the right just as you head up the hill out of town.  Probably about 10
AM.    Please let me know if you plan to meet us in Enumclaw.

Please take a salad or dessert for the dinner at Tate's Sat. night.  There
will be several BJ 9s with large ice chests so we can put our food items that
need to be kept cold in those when we meet up at Starbucks or Enumclaw.

Note to BJ 9 drivers--notice I have offered your cars for ice chests.  I have
a large one I could take if you need me to.  I would like to be able to put it
in your car at Starbucks. Let me know.

AS you are aware, the AHOABC is hosting the North West Meet this year. The
meet will be held at the Executive Suites in Squamish B.C., on September 22
- 25th. A lot of work has gone into planning this meet and it will be a good
one. For those that wish to attend early, arrangements have been made for a
pub night on Thursday night (Sept 22)

One of the problems that is encountered by all clubs, every year,  is
getting the numbers of those attending to enable us to order the proper
amount of food for the Meet and Greet on Friday night and the Banquet on
Saturday night.

In order to assist us us, those that are planning on attending are asked to
email Andy Jones at: awjones at totalplan-inc.com   or Michele Karatnyk at :
Michele_Karatnyk at manulife.com and advise them that you are planning on
attending and the number (one or two). The CAHC went through the same
problem at Chelan last year.

You should also being making your hotel reservations very quickly in order

with recently.

Saturday, August 27th  depart SC/Westfield Mall Starbucks at 9 AM.  We will
take Maple Valley Highway to Enumclaw where we will stop at the park east of
Enumclaw to meet up with Sheila and Arlene.  If anyone else plans to meet us
there, please let me know so we do not leave without you.

We will meet up with the Tate's at Chinook Pass (Tipso (sp?) Lake parking
area.  Steve will be the leader from there on. :)He plans to lead us to a
restaurant for lunch.  Lunch is on your own financially.  I am broke and the
club does not cover this sort of thing.

You do not need to take a chair.  Bonnie said they have enough for the group.

PLEASE  do remember to take a salad or dessert.  Some drinks for you on the
tour would be a good idea also.

There will be several ice chests in BJ 9s for your food item that needs to be
kept cold.

Steve and Bonnie will help us find the hotel.  We can make our return plans at
the dinner at their house Saturday night.

Going to the ABFM on Friday morning.  Exit #127 where SR 512 meets I-5 at the
Starbucks across from MacDonald's.  We will have 3 big Healey's and one Bugeye
so far.

AS you are aware, the AHOABC is hosting the North West Meet this year. The
meet will be held at the Executive Suites in Squamish B.C., on September 22
- 25th. A lot of work has gone into planning this meet and it will be a good
one. For those that wish to attend early, arrangements have been made for a
pub night on Thursday night (Sept 22)

One of the problems that is encountered by all clubs, every year,  is
getting the numbers of those attending to enable us to order the proper
amount of food for the Meet and Greet on Friday night and the Banquet on
Saturday night.

In order to assist us us, those that are planning on attending are asked to
email Andy Jones at: awjones at totalplan-inc.com   or Michele Karatnyk at :
Michele_Karatnyk at manulife.com and advise them that you are planning on
attending and the number (one or two). The CAHC went through the same
problem at Chelan last year.

You should also being making your hotel reservations very quickly in order
to get the negotiated preferred rate. Phone and ensure that you mention that
you are with the Austin Healey Meet.
