Hi Walt & Zoe,

We took the scenic route with Frank & Mary. Left Squamish at 9:30 on 99 to 1.
Crossed over at Sumas and soon ran into the rest of the Cascaders getting gas.
We continued alone to Mt. Vernon where we stopped for Mexican lunch then
headed on to 9 South, then 2 East to Monroe, Carnation, Fall City to Preston
Road to 90 East to 18 West then on to 5 South and home by 5:30. Frank & Mary
took the ferry from Pt Defiance to Vashon Is. We had a lot of wind also and
when you combine that with curvy roads it makes driving interesting. Also if
we missed any stop lights, pumping the clutch pedal to get into gear made for
even more "interest". I hope I have some metal left on the gears. It was
smooth sailing from 90 on to home. Duval, Carnation, Fall City & Preston are
really fun to drive thru. That was our reward for diligence. 7 hours on the
road with 2 stops. I didn't need to use your Dot 5 but it was a comfort to
have it. Thanks Again,

Rich & Gretchen
