They would look similar to the logo on the cover of your 2012 Club Registry. There will be a picture of them in the May/June Cascade and also on the club website. These have not been available since 2002 and we have many new members since then. At the present time the AHCA charges $50.00 for their grille badges, the Oregon Club $40.00 for theirs and the BC Club $45.00. We would like to offer ours for $35.00 (incl. shipping) but to do so, we need to order 50 of them. Since they will be purchased by the club treasury, we need to know how many members will purchase a badge so that the club doesnt suffer any financial loss. For us to proceed, we will need to receive your check for $35.00 by June 15th made out to CAHC and mailed to: CAHC PO Box 94143 Seattle, Wa 98124. If we do not receive enough prepaid orders to proceed, we will destroy your check and notify you. This badge will most probably never be offered again. Its a great way to support your club and have a classy looking badge to put on your favorite car. This email was sent by a female LA fire captain. This is true. It happened to her three weeks ago somewhere in Pomona on the way to Pechanga. The pump should have totaled $68.00 (and change). When the receipt was printed, and she checked it was $77.00 (and change). She got mad, went inside the store, asked for a calculator and let them do the math. They refunded her the difference. She told them that if they cheat, they had better make it right. Normally, her husband would skip printing the receipt, but not her. We saw on the news the other night that this is happening everywhere. Brian pumped exactly one gallon of gas. The price did not match the cost of one gallon. It was higher. He went inside and complained, got a refund. There is also a number on each pump that you can call and complain. Take the number and DO IT (CALL AND COMPLAIN)!! This is a true story, so read it carefully. The writer stopped at a BP gas station in GA. His truck's gas gauge was on 1/4 of a tank. He used the mid-grade, which was priced at $3.71 per gallon. When his tank is at this point, it takes somewhere around 14 gallons to fill it up. When the pump showed 14 gallons had been pumped, he began to slow it down. Then, to his surprise, it went to 15, then 16. He even looked under his truck to see if it was being spilled. It was not. Then it showed 17 gallons on the pump. It stopped at 18 gallons. This was very strange since his truck has only an 18 gallon tank. He went on his way a little confused but then on the evening news he heard a report that 1 out of 4 gas stations had calibrated their pumps to show more gas had been pumped than a person actually got. Here is how to check a pump to see if you are getting the right amount: Whichever grade you are using, carefully put EXACTLY 10 GALLONS in your tank, then look at the dollar amount. If the dollar amount is not EXACTLY 10 times the price of the fuel you have chosen, then the pumps are rigged. In the writer's case, as he said, the mid-grade was $3.71 9/10 per gallon and his dollar amount for 10 gallons should have been $37.19. He now wishes that he had checked the pump. It doesn't matter where you pump gas please check the 10 gallon price. If you do find a station that is cheating, contact the state Agriculture Department, and direct your comments to the Commissioner. The information on how to do that is printed on the gas pumps. Please don't delete this until you have sent it to all the people in your address book. We need to put a stop to this outrageous cheating of customers. The gas companies are making enough profits at honest rates. This is the same thing as the butcher with his finger on the scale. The company has nothing to do with the station owner's practices. Yes the big oil is making big bucks but the dishonest guy will still be dishonest. No virus found in this message. I have attached a couple of photos, and can send more if needed. I am trying to focus on the A-H community first before posting to the general public :-) I appreciate any help or guidance you can provide. Many thanks!Holli ---------------- 1960 Austin-Healey Mark 1 3000 Roadster BT7 Overdrive 61,727 original miles Red This is a complete "basket case" project, but a great, original condition car. The engine and transmission are out of the vehicle, but we believe all parts are there and everything can be put back together. Transmission was rebuilt shortly before it was taken off the road in 1967. Body is in excellent condition. Interior will need complete restoration. Car has an after-market fiberglass hard top - original convertible top will need to be restored. Car rolls, but there is no oil in the transaxle and must be transported via trailer. It is located in Portland, OR. Second owner, purchased in 1965 and torn apart to make modifications but life got in the way and was kept as a potential retirement project, which is now more daunting than imagined. Clean, current title. $7,500 or best offer [demime 1.01d removed an attachment of type image/jpeg] [demime 1.01d removed an attachment of type image/jpeg]
