My father is owner of a 1959 Austin Healey 100-6 and has had it for about 35
years now.  I am also planning on buying it from him in the very near future.
When I was a kid, I remember him having the car repainted due to small rust
spots, but during the process I think I remember hearing that apparently
there
were different colors as the paint was being stripped off.  I am wondering if
the VIN from a 1959 would include the original color?  If so, how could I
locate the info related to the VIN?  Or, if I provide it to you, can you help
me with that?  I would appreciate any information you can help me with. Dr.
