Subject: A New procedure for the ABFM Awards Ceremony

Friends and fellow Enthusiasts,

A couple of things that I would like for you to take to your clubs as talking
points:

We have redesigned the awards ceremony this year!

I will be gathering the club reps at the computer area between the side of the
Seminary building opposite the car show area (back-side) and the pool
building, at the end closest to the parking lot, at 2:15 pm (there will be a
tent). I will have the first, second and third place trophies for each class
grouped by marque and boxed. In each box will be a list of all of the class
winners for that marque. This will give time between ~2:20 and ~2:45 pm for
the club reps to distribute the trophies to the winners in any way they see
fit: be it a small gathering/announcement or simply placing the trophies on
the proper cars.

This will shorten and simplify the Awards Ceremony that begins promptly at
3:00pm. The Awards Ceremony will announce the winners of:

Best of Show

Presidentbs Choice

First Place and runner up for the Debuting Restoration Award

Young Judges Awards

Winner of the Food Lifeline food gathering effort

The drawing for the $250 early entry

Jaguar/Land Rover of Tacoma special trophy

Seattle MINI special trophy

And any special recognitions or comments that may be appropriate.

With luck, this will keep the Awards Ceremony short, sweet and DONE by 3:30
b 3:45.

This is a system similar to that used at the Portland ABFM. PLEASE communicate
this to your club-mates! I would like to have most folks expecting this, and
somewhere near their cars at the appropriate time.

I would like to see the Awards Ceremony given at the BACK SIDE of the stage
(west side) as there are trees and shade thereb& By that time of the
afternoon, I would suspect that most will have had plenty of sun and some cool
shade (and hopefully a bit of breeze) would be most welcome. Please pass this
on to your club mates!

Thank you all for helping spread the word, and thank you all for all of your
help and support.

Onward to the best ABFM yet!
