<p style="margin-top:0;margin-bottom:0">Your dilemma is a common one when it comes to the electrical systems on our LBC's. </p>
<p style="margin-top:0;margin-bottom:0"><br>
</p>
<p style="margin-top:0;margin-bottom:0">If you are willing to do some testing on your own, here are some simple steps you can try.</p>
<p style="margin-top:0;margin-bottom:0"><br>
</p>
<p style="margin-top:0;margin-bottom:0">For your brake light issue, the first thing I would check would be if the brake light switch is actually working or not. Luckily, the trouble shooting technique is the same for all of our cars: </p>
<p style="margin-top:0;margin-bottom:0"><br>
</p>
<p style="margin-top:0;margin-bottom:0">1) Take a 4 inch or so long piece of electrical wire ( any size will do) and strip off about 1/2 inch from both ends so you have exposed wire on both ends. </p>
<p style="margin-top:0;margin-bottom:0"><br>
</p>
<p style="margin-top:0;margin-bottom:0">2) With the ignition switch turned on, touch one end of the wire to the left terminal and the other end to the right terminal of the brake light switch. There may be a small spark, THAT IS OK!!! </p>
<p style="margin-top:0;margin-bottom:0"><br>
</p>
<p style="margin-top:0;margin-bottom:0">!!!! DO NOT TOUCH THE EXPOSED WIRE OR TERMINALS AT THIS POINT, YOU WILL GET SHOCKED!!!!! Use caution and you will be ok.</p>
<p style="margin-top:0;margin-bottom:0"><br>
</p>
<p style="margin-top:0;margin-bottom:0">3) Once you have the wire touching both terminals look at the brake lights ( or have an assistant at the back of the car looking at the brake lights) and see if they are on. </p>
<p style="margin-top:0;margin-bottom:0"><br>
</p>
<p style="margin-top:0;margin-bottom:0"> A) If the lights come on, take one end of the wire and tap its terminal simulating tapping on the brakes. The lights should flicker in time to your tapping. If they do, you have a
bad stoplight switch.</p>
<p style="margin-top:0;margin-bottom:0"><br>
</p>
<p style="margin-top:0;margin-bottom:0"> B ) If the lights do not come on but you are getting a small spark at the stoplight switch it is time for more technical troubleshooting that I would be happy to help you with.</p>
<p style="margin-top:0;margin-bottom:0"><br>
</p>
<p style="margin-top:0;margin-bottom:0"><br>
</p>
<p style="margin-top:0;margin-bottom:0">For your headlight issues, I need a bit more information. </p>
<p style="margin-top:0;margin-bottom:0"><br>

<p style="margin-top:0;margin-bottom:0">1) What kind of car do you have??</p>
<p style="margin-top:0;margin-bottom:0"><br>
</p>
<p style="margin-top:0;margin-bottom:0">2) Have you added any driving lights or upgraded the lights themselves??</p>
<p style="margin-top:0;margin-bottom:0"><br>
</p>
