No, I don't NEED a connecting rod, but I have found a place willing to make new Model R Connecting Rods for $200 each plus shipping. I once needed a connecting rod as my original one's bolt broke and punched up through the top of the crankcase. These guys took my old connecting rod and made a new one. They're willing to make more for those who need them for their 1901-1903 CDO.

> Very nice pic of the car. Wanted to ask you about the lamps. Can you tell me what kind they are on your car? And could you send me a picture of the tail lamp bracket?

> I have a Solar 56 tail lamp, that I have never installed. It matches the Solar 56 sidelamps that are on the car. Gary had one as well and he thought there were but a handful in existence. Gary and I were trying to figure out what kind of bracket to make for the lamp since he had exactly the same problem. However, this is one of those things that never got resolved. Wondered if you have a solution?

> I suspect that connecting rods were quite different for the R?s and the 6C?s, although I do not know. If you are wanting a rod for the R?s, you might speak with Monroe Miller. His phone number is 717 445-0493. Monroe has made a lot of parts for the R?s over the years, but I?m not sure if he ever made any connecting rods. Monroe does not do email, but he lives in Goodville, PA and might be coming to Hershey this year to help man the CDO Club tent.
