I don't recall what number it is but I bought the smallest battery they had at Costco and they (I have 2 roadsters) work fine.

Subject: [Roadsters] Group 53 battery price going through the roof

Hi All,

I just had my group 53 battery fail in my '66 1600 after about 17 months. It
had a 40 month warrantee so I didn't think I'd have to pay that much to
replace it prorated. Wrong. It cost me over $80 here in Sacramento and I was
told they charge $137 for them new now. You know, the price of lead has
quadrupled, blah blah blah. 17 months ago they were about $80 new which I
thought was high then. Anyway any suggestions on changing over to a newer
type battery that might cost less? I really don't want to move the battery's
location. I'm sure someone has done this already. Thanks....

Neil
