roflmao.  My first reaction to discovering a single carb 1500 was some  
dumbass was playing around.  I had never seen a single in my life and had  owned a 
lot of roadsters.  Then I looked a little closer and saw the dash  plate 
indicating 77 HP and I knew the 1500 duals had 85 HP, so I researched  further and 
discovered that the first production cars had singles.  Car  runs great and 
has a lot of torque and gives the 1600's a run for the  money.  Guess we all 
have some interesting "sad stories", great to hear  that one.  Hope the car is 
still restorable and not someone's tuna can.
