Ah, the old "piston slap", I had not thought of that. Worn out wrist pin,
usually.

Three others have already mentioned this - make me number 4.
The piston is hitting the head. Been there, done that.
If yo can shine some light in the spark plug hole, I'm betting
you'll see scuffs on the piston dome where it's been pounding.
