[Roadsters] More 5- speed questions

Ok, time to come clean-
I'm contemplating transplanting a roadster transmission into 
a non- Datsun.  Now, I freshened one up for my 1600 15 years ago
and it's been great ever since- but the BMW 2002's got a bit more torque.

The question, mostly for 2L racers, is- will the 5- speed survive in a built track car with a 150hp engine?
