[Roadsters] OT: looking for high temperature hose source

A friend has a 80's car that has a hose from the catalytic converter to 
the engine. I'm assuming it is some type of pre-heating method.
Anyway, the hose has deteriorated and needs to be replaced. Local parts 
houses and the dealer say that it is NLA. I checked McMaster-Carr and 
didn't find anything. We only need a foot of it. I seem to recall that 
this type of hose was made of silicone, but am not sure. Any idea where 
to look?
